The Whittier Better Together Collaborative (WBTC) is a group of organizations dedicated to serving and supporting all Whittier residents and families by connecting them to services and supports, such as:
- Afterschool and summer programs for children
- Career coaching, job training, and employment search support
- Health & wellness programming and events
- Fun, family-friendly community events and programs
- Peer or parent support groups
- Lease renewal support (also known as recertification prep)
- Translation and interpretation services
- Financial assistance (rental assistance, utility assistance, etc)
- Benefits navigation (MassHealth, SNAP, DTA, etc)
- Financial coaching
The WBTC’s efforts are successful in part due to the myriad service organizations based in or serving Roxbury. Building referral partnerships continues to be a priority, and the WBTC welcomes any opportunities to collaborate so that the supports Whittier families receive adequately meet the needs and are of the highest quality.
